   A Hunt Club Road resident reported seeing the occupants of a small dark vehicle smashing mailboxes in the area at 4:30 a.m. April 3.

   Steven Bove, 32, of Dayton was charged with driving while intoxicated at 2:23 a.m. March 18.
   Police observed a black Chevy Trail Blazer driving on the shoulder on Millstone River Road.
   After stopping the driver, police detected alcohol on Mr. Bove’s breath, and subsequently charged him with driving while intoxicated after administering field sobriety tests.
   Mr. Bove was also charged with improper passing.
   Mr. Bove was released pending an appearance in Municipal Court.

   Michael Canihan, 38, of Bridgewater was charged with driving while intoxicated at 2:03 a.m. March 26.
   Police observed a silver minivan driven by Mr. Canihan on Roycefield Road making a loud grinding noise as it approached the intersection.
   Police also reported noticing that the vehicle had sustained driver’s side front end damage and that one tire was shredded off to the rim.
   Mr. Canihan told police he was traveling northbound on Beekman Drive when a deer entered his lane of travel. He said he swerved to avoid the deer but hit a guard rail.
   While questioning Mr. Canihan, police detected the odor of alcohol.
   After administering field sobriety tests, Mr. Canihan was charged with careless driving, driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.
   He is currently awaiting a court date.

   A Kohl’s employee reported the left rear taillight of her 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup stolen at 1 a.m. March 5.
   The victim told police she’d arrived at work at 5:55 p.m. March 4 and then was preparing to leave at around 11:30 p.m. when she noticed the missing taillight.
   A surveillance camera at the site did not offer any further assistance.
   The missing taillight was valued at $100.
