Thomas Everett

   HILLSBOROUGH — Thomas R. Everett died April 2 at home. He was 55.
   Born in Somerville, he was a lifelong Hillsborough resident.
   Mr. Everett was the owner and operator of Everett’s Farm and Market in Hillsborough.He was a recipient of many awards for all of his outstanding contributions to farming. He was named New Jersey’s Outstanding Young Farmer of 1984, the Somerset County Board of Agriculture first Spirit Award in 2004 and the 2005 Distinguished Service to New Jersey Citation.
   Mr. Everett was vice president of the NJ Farm Bureau, chairman of the Somerset Agricultural Development Board of Agriculture.
   He was a lifetime member of the South Branch Reformed Church in Hillsborough.
   His father, John E. Everett, died in 1998.
   Surviving are his wife, Kristin (MacLeod) Everett; two daughters, Rachel and Kaitlin; a son David Everett; his mother, Dorothy Everett; a sister, Judith Coates of Hillsborough; two brothers, John of DePere, Wis., and Stephen of Hillsborough; and many nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were conducted April 6 from Branchburg Funeral Home in Branchburg, followed by a funeral prayer service in South Branch Reformed Church. Burial was in South Branch Reformed Church cemetery.
