Around Cranbury By Lorraine Sedor Bunnies delivered to domestic abuse support center.
Second grade Brownie Troop 1754 spent a recent meeting making Boo-boo Bunnies for children in Women Aware, a domestic abuse support center in New Brunswick.
The girls’ bunnies were delivered to the center as part of the Cranbury Woman’s Club March personal hygiene drive. As part of the project, the girls participated in a brief, age-appropriate discussion of domestic violence.
For those unfamiliar with the bunnies, the little creatures are made from a wash cloth. They hold an ice cube and are guaranteed to make boo-boos go away.
