MONTGOMERY The Township Committee approved an ordinance Thursday that will raise Kid Connection fees for the next school year by about 10 percent more than double the increase of recent years.
According to the ordinance, full day care for five weekdays would go up about $540 per year per child to $5,943. But tuition varies depending on the number of hours or days enrolled.
The trend over the past few years has been that Kid Connection fees have increased by about 4 percent annually, said Township Chief Financial Officer Randy Bahr.
The program, which offers full-day, half-day, morning and afternoon care to children 3 years old to third grade, enrolls about 200 children, Director Laure Scasserra estimated.
