Constance M. “Connie” Rasp
Mrs. Rasp, 74, of the Oakhurst section of Ocean Township, died April 11 at home. Born in Passaic, she resided in Manasquan prior to moving to Oakhurst 40 years ago. She was a registered nurse at Eatontown Convalescent Center, retiring in 1994. Prior to that, she was the school nurse at Deal School, and a registered nurse at Heritage Hall, Eatontown. She was a communicant of and member of the choir at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, West End section of Long Branch. She was predeceased by her husband John D.W. Rasp Sr. in 1996; and a son, John D.W. Rasp Jr. in 1962. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws, Glenn A. and Peggy Rasp of Downingtown, Pa., and Brian D. and Renata Rasp of Oakhurst; a sister, Eileen LaRocca of Franklin Lakes; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Michael’s Church. Interment was at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. Emma J. Zarlenga Masselli
Mrs. Masselli, 93, of Long Branch, died April 9 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. She a parishioner of and member of the Rosary Society at Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. She was predeceased by her husband Santino Masselli in 1984. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sandy J. and Joan Masselli Jr. of Old Bridge; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Star of the Sea Church. Entombment was at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, N.Y. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.
Santo “Sam” Realmuto
Mr. Realmuto, 94, of Eatontown, died April 9 at home. Born in Italy, he resided in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Eatontown 33 years ago. Mr. Realmuto was a mason at Old Orchard Country Club, Eatontown, for 12 years before retiring in 1987. He was a communicant of St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown, and a member of the Old Guard Club and the Mason Tenders Union. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna Malato Realmuto, in 2000. Mr. Realmuto is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Millie and Ray Cervone of Eatontown; and three grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Dorothea’s Church, followed by interment at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch. Garrett H. Chasey
Mr. Chasey, 70, of Spring Hill, Fla., and formerly Eatontown, died April 10 at home. Born in Long Branch, he was a lifelong resident of Eatontown prior to moving to Florida eight years ago. He was a retired electrician at Little Silver Electric, and Soden’s, Red Bank. He was a former communicant of St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown. He was a volunteer member of the Eatontown Fire Department and First Aid Squad, member of the Electrical Union Local No. 400, and Past Commodore of Hernando Beach (Fla.) Yacht Club. He was predeceased by his second wife, Jackie, in December. He is survived by his first wife, Angie Chasey; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathleen and Thomas Cardamoni, and Diana Chasey, all of Eatontown, and Joanie and Randy Hudanish of Jackson; two sisters, Carolyn Frick of Eatontown, and Joanie Pemberton of Ocean Township; four grandchildren; two stepdaughters; and four step-grandchildren. Visitation will be April 14 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Braun Funeral Home, Eatontown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated April 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Dorothea’s Church. Entombment will be at Fair View Cemetery Mausoleum, Middletown.
