Trash or treasure



   Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 — The monthly sale will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 339 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown, from 9 a.m. to noon on the second floor of the education building. Spring and summer clothing will be featured.


Casino trip



   Sunday, April 17 — A charter bus will leave Wrightstown for Trump Plaza Casino in Atlantic City at 10:30 a.m. and will return to Wrightstown at 8 p.m. Price is $25 and attendees will receive a $15 coin voucher (cash) and $5 food voucher plus bus driver tip.

Writers’ group



   Tuesday, April 19 — Women writers’ group will meet at 7:30 p.m. inside By the Book/U & I Gift Shop, 150 Farnsworth Ave. There is no fee and no experience is necessary. Bring paper and pen/pencil. Senior luncheon



   Wednesday, April 20 — John A. Roebling’s senior luncheon to honor 80-year-old members will be held at 1 p.m. at Town and Country Diner, Route 206, Bordentown. A $5 reservation ticket is needed and will be refunded the day of the luncheon.
City Gardens



   Wednesday, April 20 — Bordentown City Gardens will hold the regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the Carslake Community Center, 207 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
   New members are invited.


‘Moon Over Buffalo’



   Starting Thursday, April 21 — The New Bordentown Community Players will present Ken Ludwig’s "Moon Over Buffalo" on April 21, 23-24, 29-30, and May 6-7.
   Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. in the old auditorium under the clock tower at Rancocas Valley Regional High School, 520 Jacksonville Road, Mount Holly.
   Tickets are available at the door. Cost is $10 but $8 for seniors and students with I.D.. Call 744-3361 for details.
Earth Day clean-up



   Saturday, April 23 — An Earth Day clean-up of Thorntown Creek is slated from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Rain date: April 24).
   This year’s focus will be on the floodplain behind Ocean Spray. Sturdy shoes and work gloves are recommended. Garbage bags and wheelbarrows will be provided.
   Meet at the corner of Elizabeth Street and rear entrance to Ocean Spray. The event is sponsored by the Bordentown City Environmental Commission (BCEC). Call 324-9505 for details.
Flea market



   Sunday, April 24 — The Columbus chapter of UNICO National will hold a flea market at the Puglia farm on Columbus Road, Columbus. Proceeds will go to the UNICO scholarship fund for graduating seniors from Northern Burlington Regional High School.

School registration



   Tuesday, April 26 and Tuesday, May 24 — Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten registration for New Hanover Township School in Wrightstown is slated. Pre-kindergarten students must turn 4 and kindergarten students must turn 5 on or before Sept. 30.
   Parents must call the school at 723-2139 to make an appointment to register their children. Each child must be present for registration. Birth Certificate, immunization records and proof of residency required.
Ticket Auction



   Saturday, April 30 — The Band Boosters of Bordentown Regional High School will hold the annual Ticket Auction at BRHS, 50 Dunns Mill Road, Bordentown. Doors open at 6 p.m., drawings at 7:30 p.m.
   The $5 admission fee at the door includes one sheet of tickets, a beverage and dessert. Refreshments and more tickets will be available for purchase. No one under 18 admitted.
   Prizes include tickets to local attractions, gift certificates, autographed collectibles, household goods, etc. The BRHS jazz band will perform during the preview. Call 298-5799 for details.
Ship reunion

   Sunday, May 1 — A bus trip to Showboat Casino in Atlantic City is planned by the Knights of Columbus No. 570.

Nicotine Anonymous



   Starting Tuesday, May 3 — Nicotine Anonymous meetings will be held every Tuesday in May from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Divine Wood Missionary Gym, second floor, 101 Park St., Bordentown. The free meetings are open to anyone who has the desire to stop using nicotine. Call 298-1866 for details.
Iris Festival



   Saturday, May 7 — The Downtown Bordentown Association invites the public to the 9th annual Iris Festival in historic Bordentown City from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
   More than 40 fine artists will be featured along with an iris grower competition, and an outdoor concert by the B.D. Lenz Jazz Trio from noon to 4 p.m. Free guided tours and al fresco dining will be featured.

Annual carnival



   Tuesday, May 10 through Sunday, May 15 — Holy Assumption School’s annual carnival will be held on Hornberger Avenue and Parish Lane. More details are forthcoming and bacon bread will be sold.
Gallery show



   Through Wednesday, May 18 — The New Jersey Chapter of the American Artists Professional League will present the spring members-only show at the Bordentown Gallery, 204 Farnsworth Ave., and it is open to the public.
