Joseph T. Kulickowski
TRENTON Joseph T. Kuliczkowski died Saturday at his residence. He was 52.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Kuliczkowski lived most of his life in Trenton and resided in Lawrenceville for 10 years with his cousins Patricia and Ed Krupa and their son, Thaddeus.
He enjoyed spring fishing on the Delaware River with his cousins Paul and Tom Pabian and with his cousins John, Thomas and Frank Wiechnik on the Delaware Bay near Light House Point out of the Maurice River. He also enjoyed working with his cousin Agnes Naughton in her husband Tom’s gardens.
Mr. Kuliczkowski worked at the White Eagle Printing Co. He was a general contractor for home repairs, maintenance, remodeling and gardening.
Son of the late Stanley J. and Mary A. Samojedna Kuliczkowski, and brother of the late John J. and Theodore E. Kuliczkowski, he is survived by his brother, Stanley J. Kuliczkowski of Washington; his sister and brother-in-law, Maryann J. and Anthony Sepe of Westfield; his nephews, Theodore S. Kuliczkowski of Yardley, Pa., and Christian A. Sepe of Westfield; a niece, Gina M. Sepe of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three aunts, Mary Skwara, Anne Nowicki and Genevieve Szubrowski, all of Trenton; and many other cousins in both the United States and Poland.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline & Beatty streets.
Funeral Liturgy was celebrated Tuesday in the Church of Holy Cross. Burial was private.
Rose Marie DiBella Santacroce
PALM HARBOR, Fla. Rose Marie DiBella Santacroce, 70, died Saturday at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor.
Ms. Santacroce was born in Trenton and she resided in Lawrence from 1966 until 1994, when she and her husband retired to Florida.
She was a graduate of Trenton State Teachers College, Class of 1956. She taught in the Trenton public schools for 25 years and also was employed by Education Testing Service from 1980 until her retirement in 1993.
Ms. Santacroce had a love for music, singing and the theater, and prior to moving to Florida was an active participant with several local New Jersey community theater groups. She also enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, cooking and was an avid supporter of the Florida Orchestra.
She was a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor and a member of the Women of Espiritu Santo. She also was a member of the Order of Sons of Italy in America, John Paul Lodge 2427, East Lake Area Women’s Club and the Red Hat Society, and was the coordinator of her residence associations.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta Palmieri DiBella and wife of the late Joseph O. Santacroce, she is survived by a daughter, Clare Marie Santacroce of Austin, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Sharon Santacroce of Ewing; a sister, Santina Duritt of Yardville; a sister-in-law, Lucy Bogda and her husband Richard of Trenton; four nieces, Tina DeAngelo of New Egypt, Maria Cavanaugh of West Chester, Pa., Michele Downie of Hopewell and Melissa Brown of Ewing; and two nephews, Paul Duritt of Yardville and Steve Duritt of Wrightstown.
Her funeral will be held 9 a.m. Friday from Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Road, Lawrence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Ann, Lawrence.
Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Hamilton.
Friends may call 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Eugenia L. Canning
Eugenie Marie Loscalzo Canning died Friday at her residence. She was 76.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a resident of South Brunswick for 34 years before moving to Lawrence last year.
Known to her friends as Jean, she grew up in Philadelphia where she attended Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls and Chestnut Hill College, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1949. She went on to earn a masters degree in special education from Rutgers University.
Prior to her marriage, she worked as a teacher in the Philadelphia school district for six years. She re-joined the workforce in the early 1970s when she worked at the Northeast Regional Resource Center, a federally funded program charged with developing education initiatives for the mentally challenged.
Ms. Canning went on to serve as a special education consultant for various public schools in New Jersey, and founded the company, The Jersey Kids on the Block, an educational puppeteering program.
Ms. Canning was a lay Marianist (Society of Mary) and active for 35 years in local, national and worldwide Marianist programs. She was an officer in the Marianist Family Council as well as the Marianist Lay Network of North America.
She served as a board member for many years on the AAMH of Princeton (Association for the Advancement of the Mentally Handicapped), as well as serving on multiple school boards, PTA committees and local Girl Scout Troops. In 1999, she was honored by the Princeton Knights of Columbus with the Christian Service Award for a lifetime of dedicated service to church, community and country.
Ms. Canning was the daughter of the late Eugenie and David Loscalzo. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard; her sister, Patty Jo Griffin of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; her brother, George Loscalzo of Merced, Calif.; her children, Sheila Canning of Kingston, Paul Canning of Unionville, Conn., Denise Winters of Salt Lake City; Eileen Schwagerl of Rockville Centre, N.Y., Jerry Canning of Mount Vernon, N.Y., Michael Canning of Richmond, Va., Dan Canning of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Theresa Canning Zast of Brooklyn, N.Y, as well as her seven sons-in-law, 13 granddaughters and one grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Princeton.
Entombment followed in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.

James P. Mitchell
SOUTH BRUNSWICK James P. "Jazzy" Mitchell of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick died April 1 at University Medical Center at Princeton. He was 87.
Born in Philadelphia and educated in the Philadelphia public school system, Mr. Mitchell was a retired employee of John C. Dolph Inc. of Monmouth Junction.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton, Witherspoon Lodge No. 178 I.P.O.E. of the World and Charles Robinson Post No. 218 of the American Legion.
Son of the late Oliver and Virginia Mitchell, father of the late Deborah Thompson and Rock Mitchell, he is survived by his wife, Sadie; sons James Jr. of York, Pa., George "Porky" Mitchell of Trenton, Walter "Chung" Sutton, Phillip "Sam Brown" Sutton, and Johnny Mitchell all of South Brunswick; daughters Phyllis Sutton of Lawrence, Barbara Sutton of California, Sandra and Beatrice Mitchell both of New York City, Sugie of Trenton, and Cookie of South Carolina; and several grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and cousins.
The funeral was Saturday at Mount Pisgah A.M.E. Church, 170 Witherspoon St., Princeton.
Interment was at Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.
Arrangements were by the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
Edward J. Bender
MANCHESTER Edward J. Bender died April 4 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was 77.
Born in Trenton, he lived in the Robbinsville section of Washington Township before moving to the Whiting section of Manchester in 2000.
He was a truck driver for Sunoco Oil Co. in Willow Grove, Pa., and Perth Amboy for 45 years.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Florence; one son, Michael of Chesterfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Mitchell Brown of Lawrence; two brothers, George and Joseph, both of Trenton; and one sister, Mildred Bender of Hamilton.
Funeral services were private.
