BORDENTOWN CITY



   Someone broke a window at the Bordentown Exxon gas station on Route 130/206 and entered the building in the overnight hours Sunday. Police said nothing appeared to be missing. Workers discovered the broken pane early that morning, police said.

   Police are looking for information on three young men wanted in connection with a pipe beating on Crosswicks Street just after 10 p.m. April 7.
   According to police, three young men with their faces covered, wearing hooded sweatshirts, attacked a trio of people outside St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. Police said the attackers scared off two of the three people and began beating an 18-year-old Ewing man about the head with metal pipes. The victim suffered two bleeding wounds on his head before his attackers left, police said.
   Police said they have no motive for the attack and no further information. The Ewing man was taken to Capital Health Systems Helene Fuld Campus in Trenton, where he was released later that night. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (609) 298-0103.

   A Yapewi Yacht Club member on April 7 reported to police that day that his 2001 Starcraft inboard motor boat and its motor had gone missing. Pennsylvania State Police found the boat floating near a ravine across the river the following day, where it was picked up by the New Jersey State Police Marine Unit and returned to the marina, police said.
   Police said the boat was taken on its trailer to the city beach and launched from there. There was no sign of damage to the boat, valued at $2,500, nor to the motor, valued at $1,500, police said.

   Police charged a 19-year-old city resident with shoplifting and simple assault April 6, after police say he threw a stolen can of iced tea at a woman, thus triggering a fight with the woman’s son.
   According to police, Corey Dixon walked out of the Route 130/206 7-Eleven store without paying for a can of iced tea shortly after 6:30 p.m. Officers were called about a fight near the store, where they found Mr. Dixon, the woman and her son. Police said the son was going to the hospital to have a cut on his face checked out.
   According to police, Mr. Dixon threw the can of iced tea over a fence there and hit the woman in the back. A fight then broke out between Mr. Dixon and the son, reportedly leading to the son’s cut cheek, police said.
   Police charged Mr. Dixon, who was released on his own recognizance, pending a court date. The son was released from the hospital later that evening.

   Police charged a Trenton man with theft and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle at 12:30 a.m. Monday.
   An officer responding to a disorderly person call found 21-year-old Robert Onderdonk in the parking lot of the Academy Woods apartments that night. Police said officers found Mr. Onderdonk in his car with a can of beer and, when they ran a identity check on him, discovered he was wanted on a criminal warrant (for theft) issued by Trenton. He was turned over to the Trenton Police Department after failing to post $5,000 bail.

   Police charged a township man with driving while intoxicated around midnight, April 7.
   According to police, officers stopped James Mattson, 31, of Woodlawn Avenue for failure to maintain a lane an Cedar Lane. Police said officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol on Mr. Mattson’s breath. After failing sobriety tests, Mr. Mattson was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain a lane, driving while suspended and driving an unregistered vehicle, police said. He was released on his own recognizance, pending a court date.
