James H. Stonaker
James H. Stonaker, 72, died Monday, April 11, at home after a long illness.
Born in Jamesburg, he was a lifelong resident. He worked in the air conditioning and refrigeration field for Hill Refrigeration Company in Trenton for over 30 years, retiring in 1995. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the American Legion Star Post 127, Jamesburg. He was an active special member of the Jamesburg Fire Company and was a charter member of the Jamesburg Elks Lodge, 2180.
His two sisters, sisters, Katherine A. DiStefano and Esther E. Stonaker, two brothers, Daniel P. Jr. and Donnelly J. and a grandson, Andrew J. Stonaker, are deceased. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dolores P. Krajcsovics; his four sons, Daniel P. III, James H. Jr. and William P., all of Jamesburg, and Andrew J. and his fiancée, Sharon Doerfler, of Monroe; three sisters, Alice Fisher of Milltown, Anne M. Stonaker of Rockledge, Fla., and Rosemarie Enyeart of North Brunswick; and five grandchildren, Brian A., Elizabeth A., Kaitlyn S., Tina M. and William P. Jr.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 14, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. James R.C. Church, Jamesburg. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA of Central Jersey Hospice Program, c/o 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, N.J. 07701-9978.
