The New Jersey Repertory Theater will perform Andrew Lloyd Weber’s "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at Crossroads South Friday and Saturday.
The cast includes three teachers from the district and children from each of the district’s schools.
George Heffentrager, the Crossroads South instrumental music teacher, plays Joseph.
"He’s wonderful," Producer Phyllis Kristjanson said.
Crossroads South language arts teacher Jenny Stanislawczyk and Cambridge School music teacher Lisa Garwood also are in the production.
"A lot of people don’t know about it, but those that do come to see it become an instant fan because it’s fun, it’s fast paced, it’s all singing and dancing, it’s colorful and it’s really a great time," Ms. Kristjanson said about the musical.
The musical is based on the biblical story of Jacob and his sons.
The music goes from calypso to 1950s Rock and Roll.
Tickets are $10 and available at the door. Shows are Friday night at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m.
