HILLSBOROUGH Geneva "Ginny" (Stewart) DeMarco died April 17 at Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice in Edison. She was 71.
Born and raised in Sidney, N.Y., she previously lived in North Plainfield before moving to Hillsborough 20 years ago.
Mrs. DeMarco was a homemaker and worked for Brotman’s Fabrics in North Plainfield. She received her real estate license in 1993 and since then worked for Century 21 Worden & Green in Hillsborough.
She was a member of The Italian American Club Women’s Auxiliary in North Plainfield, she volunteered at the Roycefield Kennels in Hillsborough and belonged to the Somerset Valley Playhouse.
Her husband, Alphonse "Al" DeMarco, died in 2003; her mother, Bernice (Stewart) Koetzner, died in 2003; her father, Francis Stewart and a brother, Carl Stewart, are deceased.
Surviving are two daughters, JoAnne Waller Mills, of Tinton Falls and Barbara Mazzagatti of Hillsborough; six grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
A memorial service will begin at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Bruce C VanArsdale Funeral Home in Somerville. Interment will be in Neshanic Cemetery in Hillsborough.
