Pennington struggling on offense

It’s been a tough early part of the season for the Pennington School softball squad, but Monday’s 5-1 loss at Timothy Christian could be the most difficult of the six setbacks to get over.
"This one hurts," Red Raiders coach Dean Waters said. "We beat them 12-3 the first time we met. This time we were so far out in front of the pitches. We need to work on getting the girls’ confidence back up."
The home team put the game away with four runs in the bottom of the first inning.
"We didn’t hit at all," Waters said. "Give Timothy Christian credit. They hit the ball well. We played well defensively, we couldn’t hit."
Pennington (1-6) fell to Lawrenceville 8-4 last Friday.
Lawrenceville took a 7-2 lead after two innings.
Senior Nicole Henderson had the lone Red Raider run batted in.
The Red Raiders lost to Princeton Day 7-5 on April 13.
