Valley GOP and well-wishers honor Crum at breakfast

Fifty attend Hopewell Valley Republican Association’s annual Spring Breakfast.

   Some 50 local residents got up early Saturday to honor Titusville resident Janet Crum, guest of honor at the Hopewell Valley Republican Association’s annual Spring Breakfast.
   The guest list included Assemblyman Bill Baroni (R-14th), Mercer County Clerk Cathy DiCostanzo, Hopewell Township Mayor Arlene Kemp, Township Committeewoman Judy Niederer, and Andrea Forrester, wife of gubernatorial candidate Doug Forrester.
   Politicians, local residents, and colleagues who volunteer with Ms. Crum as emergency medical technicians throughout Hopewell Valley all sang the praises of the guest of honor.
   A NJ certified emergency medical technician and instructor, Ms. Crum has been an active member of the Union Fire Company and Rescue Squad since 1969. She volunteered at Ground Zero after Sept. 11 and is a member of the Hopewell Township Charter Study Commission.
   Office administrator for the Mercer County Republican Committee, Ms. Crum holds a master’s degree from Trenton State College, now the College of NJ.
   Ms. Crum is a former chairwoman of Hopewell Harvest Fair, is a life member of Titusville United Methodist Church, and has won numerous volunteer achievement awards from groups such as the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, and Union Fire Co.
   Ten years ago she was named "New Jersey Volunteer of the Year" by Chemical Bank.
