Thomas P. McCool has been appointed the new president and CEO of the Princeton-based not-for-profit Eden Family of Services.
Mr. McCool brings more than 30 years of experience working with and advocating for individuals who have been diagnosed with developmental and emotional disabilities, including autism. Most recently, he served as vice president of development and government relations at The Devereux Foundation in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Eden’s board of trustees, comprised of both community members and Eden parents, is enthusiastic with the appointment of Mr. McCool. "He brings with him many years of experience and an impressive background working with individuals with disabilities. We believe his is a perfect fit for Eden," said Louis Paparozzi, president of Eden’s board.
Mr. McCool will reside in Lawrenceville with his wife, Cathy.
ARCHITECTURE
West Windsor’s CUH2A, an architecture, engineering and planning firm, has significantly enhanced its lab planning and development proficiencies by consolidating its facilities and laboratory groups into an integrated, overarching planning discipline.
Rachel Park, a principal at CUH2A, was named director of planning for the Princeton office and is joined by two seasoned experts, June Hanley and Tom Mistretta, both new to the firm, who strengthen the consolidated planning group.
The consolidated approach uniquely positions CUH2A by enabling its clients to benefit from both the macro approach to laboratory programming with overall facility planning strategies and the micro approach typically associated with architectural engineering and design.
Founded in 1961, CUH2A’s global headquarters is located in West Windsor.
KSS Architects has announced two new additions to its Princeton staff: John van Melle, of Princeton, as senior project architect, and Sonia Lucas Oliveira, as architectural intern.

Reza Amirkhalili has been named chief operating officer of Hanscomb Faithful & Gould, a U.S.-based construction consulting and project management firm.
Mr. Amirkhalili, who has been with the firm for 14 years, started as a technical staff member in the Washington, D.C., office. Prior to being named COO, he was the regional vice president for the firm’s mid-Atlantic region, which encompasses offices in New York, Princeton, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Hanscomb Faithful & Gould is a leading supplier of project services to clients in the aviation, automotive, defense, education, food and beverage, government, hospitality and pharmaceutical industries.
The local office is on Canal Pointe Boulevard in West Windsor.

Buchanan Ingersoll PC has announced Peter P. Ackourey has joined the firm as a shareholder. He will practice primarily out of the firm’s Princeton office, but will also regularly serve clients in Philadelphia. Throughout his career Mr. Ackourey has focused his practice in the area on banking, real estate and corporate law matters.
Previously, Mr. Ackourey was a partner in the Princeton firm Drinker Biddle & Reath, where he started the firm’s New Jersey banking practice, and before that, he had served as associate counsel in the legal department of Mellon Bank Corp.
