The Long Branch Ronald McDonald House on Bath Avenue is scheduled to host its 15 annual Gala Fundraiser titled “An Evening in the Enchanted Garden” on April 30 at Branches in West Long Branch.

All proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Long Branch and the newest facility in New Brunswick. The houses are used as a “home away from home” by families of seriously ill children receiving medical treatment at area hospitals.

The Brookdale Community College students will be cleaning Monmouth County’s waterways and the Long Branch Lake Takannassee, Ocean Boulevard, is scheduled for Saturday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Mayor Adam Schneider along with staff and students from the West Long Branch Monmouth University and other local elementary schools will be in attendance.

The New Jersey Elks are scheduled to host its seventh annual Walkout on Drugs on May 1 at the boardwalk at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa on Ocean Boulevard in Long Branch.

The walkathon is scheduled for 1 p.m. and registration will start at noon.

Any peer group, individual, alliances, schools and lodges that raise $1,000 will receive one free scholarship to next year’s Peer Leadership Conference.

The Long Branch Knights of Columbus Council 335 is scheduled to host its “First Sunday of the Month Breakfast” on May 1 from 8 a.m. to noon at 670 Highway 36. The all-you-can-eat breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, sausages, juice, coffee and tea, and the cost for children under 12 will be $2 and adults $4. Containers will be available for takeout.
