RED BANK — The new Two River Theater, 21 Bridge Ave., will host a free Family Day on Saturday, April 30, from 1-4 p.m.
The afternoon is designed especially for children ages 4-12, and will feature a variety of entertainment including theater games, Improv Jam, drumming, international music and folk songs, storytelling, mask-making and a theater scavenger hunt.
Two River Theater Family Day organizers hope the afternoon will show families how the arts, and especially theater, can entertain children and provide kids with new ways to view the world around them.
International music and folk songs will be performed by Honey Child Music, folk musician Lisa Frost, and the group Mamborengue.
Youngsters can also have their photo taken in costumes from the theater’s costume trunks and be entertained by mask-making, balloon animals and face painting. Visitors can enter a free raffle featuring an array of theater-themed goodies for children.
