Hospital planning neighborhood meetings

Princeton HealthCare System will hold a series of neighborhood meetings to discuss the possible future uses of the University Medical Center at Princeton campus, with the first set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Ground Floor Conference Room A at the medical center.
A second meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. May 17 in Classrooms 1 and 2 in the Lambert House section of the hospital. The public is invited.
The sessions are a continuation of PHCS’s ongoing efforts to provide information and listen to community feedback related to its plan to build a new, state-of-the-art University Medical Center at Princeton within two to six miles of the Witherspoon Street campus.
"Our trustees decided in January to pursue building a new campus after more than two years of strategic planning, community meetings and discussions with our physicians and staff," said PHCS President and CEO Barry S. Rabner. "We will move forward in a similarly thorough, open manner as we help determine the future of our Witherspoon campus."
The neighborhood meetings will include discussion and a presentation about potential uses for the property. Mr. Rabner will open the discussion and answer questions.
PHCS is working with the Princeton Regional Planning Board regarding zoning issues related to potential future uses of the Witherspoon campus. Those meetings, which are open to the public, began April 21, and additional sessions are planned for May 26 and June 16, PHCS said.
