The New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT) plans to do milling and paving work on Route 31 from I-95 to Ingleside Avenue (including the circle), according to Hopewell Township police Capt. George Meyer.
"The work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday (May 4) at 8 p.m. It will go on for six nights (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). They are scheduled to be off the road by 6 a.m. each morning," Capt. Meyer said.
"This work will cause delays and detours each night. The detours will change as the work progresses," said the captain.
"We expect some businesses in the area to experience problems with customers having difficulty getting to them. NJ State Police and our officers will be assigned to assist in setting up detours and controlling traffic. The work is weather-dependent each night. If it rains they will not pave," Capt. Meyer said.
