Hazlet Recreation will offer the new program for children age 4 and 5, “Little Professors” beginning May 10. Classes will run six weeks and be held Tuesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. Cost is $62, with a $15 late fee after May 9. The program will be at Cullen Center, 1776 Union Ave.
The Hazlet Thunderettes baton twirling parents organization will hold its second annual auction May 11 at North Centerville Firehouse, Hazlet. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with auction at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $20 per person, which covers fee and starter tickets.
A “Mad Science” summer camp for children that have completed grades one through five, “Mad Machines and Junior Engineers” will run Aug. 15-19 from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $106, and registration must be made by July 15 ($15 late fee).
A new program for children age 7-14, “Ponyshares,” will be held July 18-22 from 1:30-3 p.m. Cost is $152, with a $15 late fee after July 15. Children will ride or drive horses, as well as get an introduction to horses. Both the above are at Veterans Memorial Park.
