  • Bayshore, Thompson and Thorn Middle Schools will host a “Celebration of the Arts in Middle School” May 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thompson Middle School, Middletown Lincroft Road, Middletown.
  • The event is made possible by a $1,500 grant from the Middletown Township Education Foundation. It will feature artwork from students of the three Middletown middle schools, in the categories of painting, pen and ink/pencil, color pencil/marker/pastel, and ceramics multimedia/sculpture. It is a juried art show and trophies and prizes will be awarded.

    Consortium’s FISH

    program to begin May 7

    The New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium will offer its Families Investigate Science Hands On (FISH) program for families weekends May 7-June 12. Start times for the two-hour programs are 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

    Programs offer educational marine science adventures along the shores of Sandy Hook. Attendees may observe horseshoe crabs, learn about the Lenape Indians, or other activities. Cost is $8, $6 for children younger than age 18, and free for children younger than age 3.

    Register for Women of Zion program by May 10

    Catholic Women, of Zion, Middletown, will hold its monthly lunch, Mass and program May 14 at 10 a.m. at the Holiday Inn, Hope Road, Tinton Falls. Registration must be made by May 10. Guest speaker is author and lecturer Molly Kelly. She will present “Give Them to Mary.”
