The West Windsor Community Farmers’ Market will open for the season May 21.
The market, located at the Vaughn Drive parking lot at the Princeton Junction train station, will be open Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. through the end of October.
Ten farms will participate in the market this year, offering organic herbs, grass-fed beef, pork and lamb, chicken, quail and pheasant, organic and conventionally grown vegetables, including specialty Asian vegetables. Vendors also sell flowers, pies and bread.
Two new food vendors, the Argentine Grill and the Village Bakery, will offer breakfast sandwiches, grilled food, coffee and fresh-baked breakfast pastries.
Seating is available, and events are scheduled throughout the summer include cooking demonstrations, nutrition lessons, drumming circles, featured musicians and local artisans.
The official grand opening, June 18, celebrates the second annual West Windsor Farm Heritage Day.
Information about upcoming events is available at www.westwindsorfarmersmarket.org.
