Valeant selects Compass Healthcare
Valeant Pharmaceutcals International, a publicly traded, research-based specialty pharmaceutical company, has signed with Compass Healthcare Communications for online marketing services.
Compass, based at 34 Chambers St., received assignments for two neurology products Tasmar and Zelapar.
Compass is an online marketing agency serving the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device industries.
Barrier builds sales force
PLAINSBORO Barrier Therapeutics Inc., a pharmaceutical company developing and commercializing dermatology products, recently announced plans to create a U.S. sales organization.
By signing an agreement with Ventiv Health Inc. a provider of sales, marketing and compliance solutions to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies Barrier plans to build a field sales force of six Barrier regional managers and about 60 sales representatives over the next three months. Up to 20 sales reps are expected to be Barrier employees and at least 40 will be from Ventiv.
Tyco could nix plastics division
WEST WINDSOR Tyco International, with operational headquarters in the township, recently announced plans to explore divesting its plastics and adhesives business segment.
"Plastics and adhesives is a good business with a strong management team, but we have determined that it is no longer a strategic fit for our vision of Tyco’s future," Tyco CEO Ed Breen said.
The plastics and adhesives unit posted a loss of $187 million on revenue of $463 million in the latest quarter.
A timeline was not released for the possible divestiture.
Martini lounge to open
