William J. Lacina
Mr. Lacina, 86, of East Brunswick, died April 29 in JFK Haven Hospice, Edison. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he was employed by the Ford Motor Co., Edison, where he worked for 20 years. Surviving are his wife, Florence Sokolski Lacina; seven children, William Lacina of Spotswood, George Lacina and Leonard Lacina, both of North Brunswick, Carol Mordaga of Maywood, Lawrence Lacina and Edward Lacina, both of Monroe, and Michael Lacina of South Brunswick; and 17 grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro. Memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Hospital, P.O. Michael David Polst
Mr. Polst, 36, of Old Bridge, formerly of East Brunswick, died April 27 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Bette Wentz Polst; a son, Dylan; his parents, Frances and Robert Polst of East Brunswick; a brother, Joseph Polst of Old Bridge; two sisters, Kelli Perrotte of Edison and Jeanette Fisher of Hamilton; and two nieces and four nephews. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to establish a trust fund for Mr. Polst’s 7-month-old son.
Theresa Archacki Ciszewski
Mrs. Ciszewski, 78, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died April 29 in Barbara E. Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard “Jacko” Ciszewski. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Fogler of Parlin and Patricia Boyle of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; a sister, Clara Slicner of the Fords section of Woodbridge; and four grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin. Michael A. Captain
Michael Captain, 15, of the Cliffwood Beach section of Aberdeen, died May 5 in Aberdeen. Born in Edison, he was a lifelong resident of Cliffwood Beach. Michael was a student at Matawan High School, where he played on the school’s football team. He was a communicant of Jesus the Lord Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He is survived by his father, George Captain Jr. of Cliffwood Beach; his mother, Kathleen McLaughlin Captain of Cliffwood Beach; a brother, Christopher Captain of Cliffwood Beach; two sisters, Melanie Skurbe of Allentown and Marcia Soviero of San Francisco; his maternal grandmother, Anne McLaughlin of Cliffwood Beach; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Captain Sr. of Edison. A funeral service was held at the Day Funeral Home, Keyport, followed by interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
