Jacqueline J. McElwee



   ALLENTOWN — Jacqueline J. McElwee, 71, died April 28 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Kulpmont, Pa., she was a longtime resident of Allentown.
   Ms. McElwee is survived by her husband, Albert McElwee of Allentown; two daughters and their husbands, Ferne and Timothy Ingram of Florida and Deborah and Wayne Cook of Cream Ridge; three sons and one daughter-in-law, William Owens of Florida, James Bremer and his wife, Tammy, of Bound Brook, and Edwin Wydra of Jamesburg; and 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
   Funeral was held May 1 at Tilghman Funeral home, New Egypt.
   Interment was in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover.
George M. Drialo



   UPPER FREEHOLD — George M. Drialo, 59, died April 25 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   He was born in Allentown and was a lifelong area resident of the borough and Cream Ridge.
   Mr. Drialo worked as an escort for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Church of the Assumption in New Egypt.
   Son of the late Frank and Ruth (Whittaker) Drialo, he is survived by his wife, Rosemary Drialo, of Cream Ridge;a daughter, Jennifer Drialo of Blackwood; and a brother-in-law, Jason Bach of Atlantic City.
   Mass of Christian Burial was held April 28 at the Church of the Assumption.
   Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover.
J. Jay Nolan



   HOMOSASSA, Fla. — J. Jay Nolan, 85, died March 3.
   Born in Trenton, Mr. Nolan lived in Allentown for 73 years.
   
   A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus, a past president of St. John’s Parish Council in Allentown and past president of the Allentown Lions Club.
   He was the owner of Joseph M. Nolan and Son Meats in Allentown.
   Mr. Nolan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cornelia Nolan of Homosassa, Fla.; a daughter, Sharon Nolan Murphy and her husband, Patrick, of Mableton, Ga.; granddaughters, Tara and Rebecca Murphy, of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, William Nolan of Brattleboro, Vt.; a daughter, Sheila Nolan Brewer and her husband, Lewis, of Miami, Fla.; and grandsons, Nolan and Hagan Brewer of Miami.
   Memorial Mass was celebrated May 6 at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.
Mildred A. Schuldes



   WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Mildred A. "Midge" Schuldes, 77, died April 28 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, she was a longtime resident of Windsor, where she babysat many children over the years.
   Wife of the late Matthew J. Schuldes, Ms. Schuldes is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael Murray Schuldes and Denise Musinski of Robbinsville; a sister, Margaret Trotto of Hamilton; a grandson, Michael Damien DeAngelo of Windsor; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was held at Glackin-Saul Funeral Home, Hightstown.
   Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown.

John McLaughlin



   UPPER FREEHOLD — John "Jack" McLaughlin, 80, died May 3 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold
   Born and raised in the Paterson area, he was a resident of Millstone for 26 years.
   In 1943 Mr. McLaughlin joined the U.S. Navy, serving for 30 years. He served during World War II as a corpsman with the 2nd Marine Division in the invasions of Saipan, Tinian and Okinawa. He also served as a corpsman aboard the U.S.S. Repose, a hospital ship, in Korea in 1950, the aircraft carrier U.S.S. WASP and the U.S.S. Grouper submarine, among others.
   Mr. McLaughlin was a member of the Millstone Township Lions Club, where he served as vice president, and was a member of the Millstone Township Environmental Commission, the Zoning Board of Adjustment and the Veterans Memorial Council. He was a founding member of the Millstone Township Homeowners Association and the Republican organization and was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association since 1964.
   He is survived by his wife, Dorothy White McLaughlin; a daughter, Allyn McLaughlin; three grandsons, Jeffrey II, Justin and Jonathan Mumpower; a sister, Dorothy Asman of Columbia, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was held at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, Allentown.
   Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover.

Alice Parichy Wascoe



   HAMILTON — Alice Parichy Wascoe, 70, died May 4 in Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Born in Allentown, Ms. Wascoe was a lifelong Hamilton-area resident.
   She retired from the New Jersey Division of Taxation.
   Daughter of the late Minnie and John Parichy and wife of the late Andrew Wascoe, she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John F. and Ruth Parichy of Hamilton; two nieces, Linda Parichy and Nancy McManimon, both of Hamilton; and her longtime companion, Harold.
   Services were private and held at the convenience of the family.
William H. Stackhouse Jr.



   WHITING — William H. Stackhouse Jr., 74, died May 6.
   Born in Clarksburg, he resided in Allentown and Beachwood for many years before moving to Whiting 10 years ago.
   A U.S. Army veteran, he was a driver for Lorri Bus Co. in Manchester Township.
   Mr. Stackhouse was a member of the Whiting Methodist Church and loved traveling and camping.
   He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, William H. III and Cheryl Stackhouse of Bayville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and Vernon Halpin of Bayville and Inez Lynn and Scott Alksmant of Forked River; his grandchildren, Chris, Tara, and Joey Halpin and Joey’s wife, Donna, Scott and Jennifer Alksmant, and Shannon and Christopher Norfolk; his great-granddaughter, Kaitlynn Halpin; his niece, Carol Crane; and several other nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was held at Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
   Interment was in Allentown Methodist Cemetery.

Emil G. Barron



   WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Emil G. Barron, 78, died May 7 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Eckley, Pa., he was a resident of the Hamilton Square/Robbinsville area for the past 50 years.
   He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served on the U.S.S. Craven during World War II.
   Mr. Barron was a life member of VFW Post #3525. He retired from Trenton High Vocational School after 30 years of teaching and then was a partner in Barron’s Automotive in Trenton.
   He was a life member of Fin, Fur and Feather Club of Allentown and enjoyed gardening, auto racing and spending time with his grandchildren.
   Mr. Barron is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Barron; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Barbara, Emil and Cheryl, and Michael and Jacqueline Barron; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John and Carol Barron, and George Barron; and five grandchildren, Christine, Matthew, Lauren, Stephanie and Katie.
   Funeral was held at Saul Colonial Home, Hamilton Square.
   Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church, Hamilton Square.
   Interment was in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.
