MANVILLE Helen R. Zaccaro died May 3 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. She was 87.
Born in Linden, she had been a longtime resident before moving to Manville.
Mrs. Zaccaro was employed as a seamstress with the Singer Company of Linden and worked in the JP Stevens School cafeteria in Edison from 1978 to 1982.
While living in Linden during the 1960s, she was a former Cub Scout den mother and a former president of Catholic War Veterans of St. Theresa’s Church.
She was a Championship League bowler throughout New Jersey.
Her husband, Samuel Zaccaro, died in 1998; two brothers, Charles and John Klunder; and a sister, Ann Arnold; are deceased.
Surviving are three sons, Robert C. of Somerset, Charles Cole of Dunellen and Raymond Zaccaro of Manville; a daughter, Donna Marie Zaccaro of Manville; and; seven grandchildren;
Funeral services were held May 10 from Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a Mass at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Burial was in Bound Brook Cemetery in Bound Brook.
