BORDENTOWN CITY



   Police charged a 40-year-old Trenton man with driving while intoxicated May 4, after a routine traffic stop on Route 130/206.
   According to police, officers saw Marc Albright pull up in front of a business on Route 130/206 around 1 a.m. and then drive away, turning the corner without using a turn signal. Police said officers witnessed Mr. Albright do this twice more before pulling him over.
   At the stop, police said, officers smelled alcohol on Mr. Albright’s breath, and later charged him with DWI. Police did not explain why he was circling the block.
   Mr. Albright was released on his own recognizance, pending a court date.

   Police are seeking information concerning several slashed tires belonging to three cars that were parked on Walnut Street on May 2.
   According to police, someone slashed three to four tires on all three cars parked overnight on Walnut Street. One car, police said, also was scratched along the entire driver’s side. Police estimated the damage to be about $2,800.

BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP



   Township police are searching for two men who walked out of the Denny’s Restaurant on Route 130 North at 9:05 a.m. Sunday without paying their $24 bill, police said.
   A waitress at the restaurant, who served breakfast to the men, contacted the police after the two left without paying, police said. Both suspects are described as black males of medium build between the ages of 50 and 55 years old, police said.
   Police officers searched the area surrounding the restaurant, but they did not find the men, police said.

   A gas attendant at the Pilot Truck Stop on Route 206 South reported to police that a woman left the station without paying for $35.02 worth of gas at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday.
   After pumping gas into her blue sport utility vehicle, the attendant said the woman told him that she had paid for the fuel inside the Pilot store and then she immediately drove off, police said. No further description of the vehicle could be provided, police said.

   Township police are investigating the theft of a tool from the garage of a Ward Avenue home at 6:43 p.m. on May 5.
   The owner of the home told police that someone had broken into his garage and shed, stealing a Werner Expandable Pic, which is a platform used for scaffolding work, and tossing other tools on the floor, police said. The owner was unable to determine if any other tools were stolen, police said.

FLORENCE

   Police are seeking information concerning a break-in to a commercial truck parked on Cathy Street that netted the thieves several hundred dollars worth of tools.
   According to police, someone cut the lock and broke into the back of a box truck belonging to Road Runner Auto Repair, sometime between 6:30 p.m. May 6 and 9:30 a.m. Monday. Police said the owners reported the theft of several ADT brand wrenches and IR brand socket sets. Also stolen were a model 6001A Associated blue battery charger and an air ratchet.

   Police charged a 50-year-old Browns Mills man with driving while intoxicated at 1:45 a.m. Sunday.
   According to police, officers witnessed Stephen Sarvat run a red light on Florence-Columbus Road and then saw his vehicle weave back and forth. At the stop, police said, officers smelled alcohol on Mr. Sarvat’s breath. After failing sobriety tests, Mr. Sarvat was charged with DWI, failure to observe a traffic signal, careless driving and failure to maintain a lane, police said. He was released on his own recognizance, pending a court date.

   Police charged Charmion Highsmith, 24, of Hamilton with speeding and driving while intoxicated shortly before 11:30 p.m., May 7.
   According to police, officers stopped Ms. Highsmith for speeding on Broad Street, near Wilbur Henry Drive. At the stop, officers smelled alcohol on Ms. Highsmith’s breath and charged her after she failed sobriety tests, police said. She was released on her own recognizance, pending a court date.

   Police charged Paul Farkas, 22, of Wrightstown with driving while intoxicated and failure to maintain a lane just before 10 p.m., May 5.
   According to police, officers spotted Mr. Farkas turn from Route 130 onto Florence-Columbus Road, but into the wrong lane. Police stopped Mr. Farkas near the Birch Hollow development and smelled alcohol on his breath, the report stated. He was released on his own recognizance, pending a court appearance.
