Police are searching for three men who robbed a clerk at gunpoint and beat a gas station attendant at the Kwik Farms store and Mobile gas station at the intersection of Beekman Road and Route 27 on Sunday, according to police.
According to police, the gas station attendant was approached by a man demanding money at 3:40 a.m. When the victim refused, two more men approached him, pulled him to the side of the building and beat him about the head and face, police said.
Two of them then entered the Kwik Farms store, located at the gas station, stuck a gun to the cashier’s head and demanded cash from the register, police said. The men took $200 from the register and locked the cashier in an office.
Police said the three men ran from the scene before police arrived.
Police said that when they arrived at the gas station, the attendant was bleeding from the head and had facial injuries. He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick where he was treated and released.
Police said one of the men was described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall with a slim build. Another suspect was described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and heavy set. All three were wearing black jumpsuits and masks.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Chris Giampietro (732) 329-4000 7485.
