Edward A. Italo Enourato



   HAMILTON — Edward A. Italo Enourato, 92, died May 8 at his home in Hamilton with his family by his bedside.
   He was a lifelong Trenton area resident since 1912. He owned and operated, along with his brother Frank, Enourato Builders Construction Company. After partial retirement in 1971, he established yet another building corporation, Edward Enourato and Sons (Anthony and Edward Jr.). He continued working into his late 80s as a consultant and advisor to his sons. His favorite pastime was dining out and visiting Atlantic City.
   Edward Enourato was well known for his reputation as a building contractor in the Trenton area since 1946. His long list of major accomplishments includes the Beth El Synagogue in East Windsor.
   Son of the late Leonardo and Marietta Rega Enourato, his loving wife, Carmela Zulla Enourato, predeceased him in 1988. He is survived by his daughter Mary and son-in-law Arturo Ongaro of Hamilton; daughter Emma and son-in-law Lawrence VanBarriger of Binghamton, N.Y.; son Len and daughter-in-law Marie Enourato of Hamilton; son Anthony and daughter-in-law Marie Enourato of Hamilton; son Edward Jr. and daughter-in-law Dorothy of Hamilton; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Albert Enourato, Armando Enourato, John Enourato, Dolores Galullo, and Lena Pitts of California.
   The funeral was held Thursday from the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 29 E. Paul Ave., Trenton.
   Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cedar Lane, Hamilton.

Ruth G. Holsten

   EAST WINDSOR — Ruth G. Holsten, 77, died May 2 in the Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton surrounded by her family.
   Born in Newark, residing in Hightstown for most of her life, Mrs. Holsten retired in 1991 with more than 20 years of service as a credit and collection analyst. Ruth was actively involved as den mother of the Cub Scouts in Hightstown and homeroom mother for many years. She was past member of the Dayton Grange, a wonderful cook and loving and adoring mother and grandmother. She was always available to help a family member or friend in need.
   Daughter of the late Michael M. and Anna Luttmann Glennon, companion of the late Edwin Chapman Jr., wife of the late Charles L. Holsten Sr., mother of the late Mark W. Holsten and mother-in-law of the late Gary J. Mohr, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles L. Jr. and Cathy Holsten of Bordentown Township; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara H. and Dennis W. Kube Sr. of East Windsor and Janice Mohr-Kminek and her husband, Michael Kminek of East Windsor, with whom she resided; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Clifford Newman of Willingboro and Kathleen and William Bilarczyk of Clark; nine grandchildren, Dennis W. Jr. and Kimberly L. Kube, Charles M. and Kyle P. Holsten, Joseph M., Christopher J., Mark R., Shawn M. Mohr and Michael J. Kminek; cousin John Luttman; several nieces and nephews; and many friends and family.
   The funeral service was held Saturday at the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction.
   Burial followed in Dayton Cemetery, Dayton.

Edwin C. "Teddy" Johnson



   WEST WINDSOR — Edwin C. "Teddy" Johnson died May 5 in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
   Born in Wilkes Barre, Pa., he was a resident of the West Windsor area since the 1960s and formerly lived in Roosevelt. Mr. Johnson graduated from Plains Memorial High School in 1957 in Plains, Pa.
   He was a U.S. Army veteran served in Panama.
   Mr. Johnson formerly owned D&M Garage in Etra and also was a retired printer. He was past president of the board of education in Roosevelt. Mr. Johnson was a member of Hightstown Elks B.P.O.E. 1955, past exalted ruler and former Trustee. He enjoyed refinishing furniture and caning.
   Brother of the late Donald Johnson and Shirley Enright, he is survived by his wife, Karen Johnson; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Stacy Johnson, Sheri and Craig Wilson and Jodi and Jon Carosi; a son, Scott Johnson; a brother, Dick Johnson; three sisters, Marg Hockenbury, Judy Vanderburg and Peggy Fedor; five grandchildren, Kiersten Hanna Wilson, Kara Dawn Wilson, Daniel Johnson Cole, Brandon Johnson and Trevor Sutherland; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Tuesday at A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury.
   Interment followed in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover.
   Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Johnson’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 3076 Princeton Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
Donald E. "Corky" Mason



   PENNINGTON — Donald E. "Corky" Mason, 66, died May 3 at home.
   He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. He was raised in Lambertville and lived in the Hopewell-Pennington area for 39 years.
   He was educated in the Lambertville school system. He was a printer for Union Camp in New Hope, Pa. for 10 years and was a meat cutter for Laurentis’ Shop Rite in the Pennington area for 29 years.
   He was a member of Local 56.
   Mr. Mason loved going to the stockcar races in Flemington and Hightstown, especially when his son raced. His other enjoyments were deep-sea fishing, snow skiing, having family picnics, dinners, and going to his grandchildren’s games at school.
   Son of the late Raymond and Viola Mason, brother of the late Raymond "Skeezix" Mason Jr., he is survived by his wife Dorothy Mason; a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Linda Driver of Pennington; a stepson, Harold H. Driver of Mercerville; grandchildren Bryan and Jamie Driver of Pennington, Maurice and Justin Driver of Ewing; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Alvin and Joyce Driver of Pennington, Addison and Louise Driver of Pennington, Constance Wheeler of Trenton, and Seymour Hundley of Pennington; uncles Jack Mason of Lambertville and William Bogs of LaPlata, Md.; a special friend, Howard "Bubby" Gailloux, who was always there for him during his illness; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
   Funeral services were held Monday at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 246 S. Main St., Pennington.
   The Rev. Thomas Hills officiated.
   Interment was in Ewing Cemetery.
   Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
William Robert McDade



   EAST WINDSOR — William Robert McDade, 68, died Tuesday in Bear Creek Assisted Living in West Windsor.
   Born in Roebling, he was a lifelong area resident.
   Mr. McDade retired from Standard and Poors in New York after 35 years of service. A graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Hamilton Township Hibernians and the Bordentown Military Alumni Association and was an avid golfer.
   Son of the late Fred and Mary Smith, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lorriane Theoharis McDade; two daughters, Melissa Thompson and her husband, Paul, and Christie McDade and her husband, David Barranco; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ardis and Albert Semptimphelter and Carol and Louis Romanet; a brother and sister-in-law, Vaughn and Debbie Smith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Jane Theoharis and Gordon and Christine Danser; five grandchildren, Samantha and Patrick Young, Christopher Thompson and Matthew and James Barranco; and many nieces and nephews.
   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 251 Franklin St. Hightstown.
   Friends and relatives may call 7-9 p.m. today, Friday at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown.

Grover L. Moss Sr. (G. Lee Moss Sr.)



   Grover L. Moss Sr. (G. Lee Moss Sr.), 78, of Lawrence, died Monday at Capital Health Systems at Fuld, Trenton.
   Born in Newark, Ark., Mr. Moss was a long-time resident of East Windsor and Florida, before moving to Lawrence recently. He was a bus driver for the Mercer Metro Bus Company in Trenton. Mr. Moss was a U.S. navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 148 in Hightstown.
   Son of the late Ira V. and Lucy (Ruby) Moss, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Irene (Mozgo) Moss; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gary Bozowski of Millstone; two sons and daughters-in-law, George A. and Colleen Moss of Bordentown and Grover L. Moss Jr. and Barbara Moss of Burlington; one brother, Lawrence E. Moss of Bryant, Ark.; two sisters, Lucille Mayfield of Little Rock, Ark. and Iva Marie Brewer of Piedmont, Okla.; four grandchildren, Anthony L. Bozowski and his wife, Danielle, Stacy O’Donnell and her husband, Robert, and Michael and Kelsey Moss; two great-grandsons, Gary M. Bozowski and Liam R. O’Donnell; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday at the Glackin/Saul funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown.
   Interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Marcelle Spollen



   EAST WINDSOR — Marcelle Spollen, 85, died May 7 at the Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood.
   Born in Montreal, Canada, Mrs. Spollen was a resident of Brooklyn, N.Y. for many years before moving to New Jersey in 1972.
   She was a retired bank officer.
   Wife of the late William B. Spollen, she is survived by a son, William R. Spollen of East Windsor; a daughter, Carol A. Costello of Chicopee, Mass.; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Lee Spollen of East Windsor; and one nephew.
   Funeral services were held Thursday at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown.
   A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Anthony the Padua Roman Catholic Church, Hightstown.
   Interment followed at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
