OBITUARIES: Anthony D’Amico

Anthony D’Amico
   Anthony J. D’Amico, 75, died Friday, May 5, at the Applegarth Care Center, Monroe.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived there before moving to Greenbriar at Whittingham 20 years ago. He was a longshoremen working out of Union Local 1814 in Newark for over 40 years, and was a superintendent at the Elizabeth and Brooklyn seaports, retiring in 1995. He served with the Army in the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953.
   He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Violet D. Pribish; a daughter and son-in-law, Dorene and Robert McDaid of Manasquan; a sister, Rosemarie D’Alora of Brooklyn, N.Y; and four grandchildren, Danya, Lawrence, Christina and Robert.
   Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 11, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA of Central Jersey, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank, N.J. 07701.
