OBITUARIES: Joseph Simon

Joseph Simon
   Joseph Simon, 78, died Tuesday, May 10, at his home in Monroe.
   Born in Marko, Hungary, he moved to the United States and resided in Old Bridge for 38 years before moving to Clearbrook 11 years ago. He was an Army veteran and served during the Korean War. He was employed by General Motors Corp., Linden, for 28 years as a parts and supplies specialist.
   He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Drexler; a daughter, Evelyn Pearce and her husband, Kenneth, of Helmetta; a brother, John of Warren; four sisters, who all reside in Europe; and two granddaughters, Cynthia and Christine.
   Funeral services were held Friday, May 13, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church, Monroe. Interment also followed at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
