Can you help a deserving family of three find a home and not let them be separated? If so, then the Animal Alliance of Belle Mead (609-818-1952) wants to hear from you.
Mr. and Mrs. Garcia and daughter, Victoria, must be adopted together! Mrs. Garcia is a two-year-old, red and white female Papillion who will be spayed prior to adoption. Mr. Garcia is a two-year-old neutered male red Dachshund/Pug mix. Their lone offspring, daughter Victoria, is now coming up on eight-weeks old.
When dumped at the pound in early March by their owner, Mrs. Garcia was already too pregnant to be spayed. It was clear from their mutual devotion to each other that Mr. and Mrs. Garcia could not be separated. When Animal Alliance took Mr. Garcia to get neutered his "wife" cried the entire day he was gone.

Hey, guys! I think somebody’s coming to adopt us!!

When she was ready to give birth they took Mr. Garcia away believing that, like most female dogs, Mrs. Garcia would want to be alone to deliver her young. Once again she shrieked for her man to be returned to her. And so, Mr. Garcia was present at the birth of his daughter and assisted his wife the entire time—licking the baby after it was born and then licking and grooming his wife during and after the birthing process.
Mr. Garcia has never left the side of his wife and daughter and they are as equally devoted to him. The three of them live together in foster care and snuggle up together constantly. Their baby is grown up enough so that now it is time for this little family to start their new life in their forever home.
Most adopters just want one dog so it is extremely unusual for an animal rescue organization to insist on placing an entire dog family together. In this instance they know they are doing the right thing for this little family has demonstrated time and again that they love and adore each other and could not bear to be apart.

The adoption fee for all three dogs is $500 which includes:

  • the spaying of Mrs. Garcia and her daughter Victoria,
  • the already-done neutering of Mr. Garcia,
  • the heartworm tests (both negative) on the two adult dogs,
  • rabies and distemper shots for the adults,
  • distemper shots for the puppy,
  • already-done vet checks and
  • dewormings and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives for all three dogs.

If you have decided that now is the time for you to open your heart and home to a dog, perhaps you can consider stretching the boundaries of your spirit and soul and welcoming in an eight-pound mom-dog, a 14-pound daddy and a little puppy-girl who is going to be about eight pounds at full maturity.
The adults are perfectly crate-trained and Victoria is well on her way to the same. Both adults are affectionate, loving, eager-to-please animals who enjoy the company of humans. Please see the Animal Alliance of Belle Mead homepage for adoption details.
