Jacob Henry "Harry" Ditmars

   Jacob Henry "Harry" Ditmars, 91, formerly of Pennington, died May 12 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Langhorne, Pa.
   Born in Hamilton Township, he was a licensed professional engineer and surveyor in New Jersey. He was supervisor, department treasurer, Division of Taxation, local property tax and public utilities branch, State of New Jersey. He was a member of the New Jersey Assessors Association, the Society of American Military Engineers, and the International Association of Assessing Officers. He was a graduate of Trenton High School, Class of 1931 and attended Drexel Institute in Philadelphia, Pa.
   Mr. Ditmars was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Trenton and later of the Pennington Presbyterian Church, where he had been a former trustee.
   Son of the late Edward and Lydia Mabel Melick Ditmars, brother of the late Ervin, Glenn and Donald Ditmars and Marion Wedger, he is survived by his wife, Virginia Hackenberger Ditmars; a son, John Ditmars of Naperville, Ill.; a daughter, Theo Ditmars-Fontaine of Fall River, Mass.; six grandchildren, Beth Stolrow, Susan Irle, Peter Ditmars, David Ditmars, Eric Feijo and Jill Feijo; and 10 great-grandchildren.
   A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Pennington Presbyterian Church, 13 S. Main St., Pennington, with the Rev. William McQuoid, pastor, officiating.
   Burial will be private in the Pennington Cemetery.
   There will be no calling hours.
