They are also available at the offices of the municipal clerks of Pennington, Hopewell Borough and Hopewell Township, and the Mercer County clerk in Trenton.

In New Jersey, voters must vote the political party of their affiliation in primary elections. Those who have never been affiliated with a specific party may vote in the primary for candidates of any political party. Thereafter, the party of the candidates they selected will be the party of the voter’s affiliation, unless it is changed through the filing of a "Political Party Affiliation Declaration Form." Voters must use the form to change their party affiliation or formally disaffiliate with a political party and register to be an independent.
