George H. Gibbs
UPPER FREEHOLD George H. Gibbs, 71, died May 9 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Groveville, he lived in Crosswicks for 31 years before moving to Cream Ridge seven years ago.
He was a retired Methodist minister having served Juliustown, Jacobstown and Wrightstown. He had previously founded and operated Gibbs Landscaping and formed the Delaware Valley Travelers.
He was a member of the Crosswicks Mens Club and the Mens Club Chorus, the Crosswicks Fire Company, the Bordentown Rotary, Mt. Moriah Lodge #28 F.& A.M. of Bordentown and was a member of the U.S. Navy Reserves.
Mr. Gibbs is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kay Gibbs; six children, George E. Gibbs of San Francisco, Cindi McKeen of Crosswicks, Nancy Kohlmayer of Hamilton, Edward Gibbs of Bordentown Township, Richard Gibbs of Crosswicks and Kathy Krupa of Crosswicks; a sister, Betty Carroll of Cream Ridge; 12 grandchildren, Michelle Donnelly, Jennifer, Dana, Ashley, George, Kourtney, Jessica, Michael, Katie, Ricky, Hannah, and Haven; two great-grandchildren, Patrick and Colm; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral was held at the Crosswicks United Methodist Church, Crosswicks.
Interment followed in North Crosswicks Cemetery.

Mary V. Busse
HAMILTON Mary V. Busse, 93, died May 11 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, she resided in East Windsor and Allentown for most of her life.
Ms. Busse was a former member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church.
Wife of the late Carl F. Busse, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carole and Robert Miller of East Windsor and Roberta and Bruce Smith of Hightstown; two granddaughters and their spouses, Laurie and her husband, Remington Johnston Jr., and Dianne Miller and her life partner, Chris Kuhns; and four great-grandchildren, Jennifer Ward, Jessica Ward, Jacquelyn Ward and Remington Johnston III.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
Brian Joseph Christie
LAWRENCEVILLE Brian Joseph Christie, 45, died May 3 at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Christie was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Christie was a graduate of Lawrenceville School and the University of New Hampshire.
He worked for Nassau Savings and Loan in Princeton and later was employed by Resolution Trust Corporation, Chase Manhattan Bank in New York and Carnegie Bank in Princeton, which was acquired by the Sovereign Bank, where he served as vice president of commercial lending.
Mr. Christie was a past member of the Montgomery Rotary Club. He enjoyed snowboarding and fishing and boating on Long Beach Island.
He is survived by his wife Sally; a son, Quinn Elliot Christie; his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Alfred Christie of Pennington; a brother, A. Douglas Christie of Bloomsburg, Pa.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Gretchen Christie of Princeton, Colleen and Martin Maloney of Frenchtown, and Cathleen and Jeffrey Arch of Marriottsville, Md.; his mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Nancy Goldberger of Haven Beach; a sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Joseph Nolan of Allentown; his aunt, Betty Anne Sweeney of Pennington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. James Church, Pennington. Burial was private.
