BORDENTOWN CITY



   A Maryland man was charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped for speeding on Route 130, May 1, police said.
   According to police, officers clocked Fred Fabe, 56, of Frederick, Md. driving 55 mph in a 40-mph zone around 1:30 a.m. At the stop, police said, officers smelled alcohol on Mr. Fabe’s breath and charged him with DWI, speeding and failure to maintain a lane. He was released on his own recognizance, pending a court date.

   A bike was reported stolen from the side of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic School on Elizabeth Street on April 29.
   According to police, someone stole a Schwinn 21-speed girls’ bike from the church grounds around 4 p.m. that day. The bike is valued at approximately $260, police said.

FLORENCE

   Police charged Bruce Edwards, 27, of Willingboro with driving while intoxicated, careless driving and failure to maintain a lane shortly after midnight Monday.
   According to police, officers spotted Mr. Edwards swerving along Route 130 and stopped him near Dulty’s Lane. At the stop, officers smelled alcohol on Mr. Edwards’ breath, police said. Mr. Edwards was charged and released on his own recognizance, pending a court date.

   Police on Sunday arrested a township man wanted on numerous criminal warrants, after officers spotted him walking down a street in Roebling.
   According to police, officers recognized 27-year-old Gerald Rumery as wanted for a number of criminal and motor vehicle warrants from several municipalities, walking along Hornberger Avenue, outside the Roebling School around 6:45 p.m.
   Police said a foot chase ensued, ending behind the Roebling School, where Mr. Rumery was charged with multiple warrant violations totaling nearly $6,000, possession of a controlled dangerous substance — officers found less than 50 grams of marijuana in Mr. Rumery’s pocket — and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $6,200 bail.
