Marie W. Masterson, 74, died Monday at home.
Born in West Amwell, she lived in Lambertville for 54 years.
Mrs. Masterson retired from the South Hunterdon Regional School System in 1991, where she had been school board secretary until 1982. She was custodian of school monies for seven years. She also worked from 1951 to 1968 for the City of Lambertville as an assistant city clerk.
Daughter of the late W. Alfred and Marie Wooden, she is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frank P. Masterson Jr.; her children and their spouses, son Michael and Vicki Masterson of Madison, Wis.; daughters, Marie and William Clark of Southport, N.C., Michele and James Howarth of Hopewell; and stepson, Frank P. and Patricia Masterson III of Lambertville; five grandchildren, Christopher, Susan and Megan Masterson and Jimmy and Lauren Howarth; two step-grandchildren, Keith Masterson of Flemington and Kathleen Petrucci of Lambertville; two brothers, William Alfred Wooden of Florida and Charles Wooden of Stockton; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Wooden and a sister, Betty Akers, and was grandmother of the late Eric Allen Masterson.
A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday from St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Bridge Street, Lambertville.
Interment will follow in Harbourton Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Garefino Funeral Home, 12 N. Franklin St., Lambertville.
