Police are looking for the man who stole $650 from a BP gas station.

Police are searching for a man who used a gun to steal $650 from the BP gas station between New Road and Major Road on Route 1 at 10:30 a.m. May 19, police said.
Police said the man may be connected to the robberies of two 7-Elevens in Dover Township on May 13 and May 17.
The man pulled up to the gas pumps, where there were three other customers, and filled the tank of his green Honda Accord with $15 of gas, according to police.
He asked the attendant for cigarettes and walked with him over to the booth where he pulled out a small dark handgun, made the attendant get on the ground and stole $500 from the cash register and $150 from the attendant, police said.
The man skipped back to his car smiling at the witnesses and drove off, police said.
The car has a license plate number of LPC11 and was reported stolen earlier that day from a Plymouth Road, North Brunswick, residence sometime before 6:20 a.m. Police are searching for the vehicle.
A different car used in the Dover robberies also is believe to have been stolen from North Brunswick as well, according to Detective James Ryan, South Brunswick police spokesman .
Police described the man as a black male in his early 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build and wearing a T-shirt and blue jeans. According to police he was wearing a baseball cap and appeared to not have shaven in several days.
Investigators from South Brunswick are working with the North Brunswick and Dover police departments. Anyone with information should contact Detective Ryan at (732) 329-4648.
