   Senior health fair: The Lawrence Township Office on Aging and the Lawrence Township Health Department, The Lawrence Township Recreation Department and the Lawrence Alcohol and Drug Alliance in cooperation with the Governor’ Council on Drug and Alcoholism will sponsor a health and safety fair for senior citizens from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Lawrence Senior Center, 30 Darrah Lane East.
   The event will offer: nutritional snacks and meal plans based on health habits, a limited number of free cell phones programs with 9-1-1 will be distributed; free health screenings and information on health and safety topics; township building inspectors will be available to answer home safety questions; exercise and hula dance demonstrations.

   Bull’s Island field trip: The Washington Crossing Audubon Society will lead a field trip to Bull’s Island State Park at 8:30 a.m.
   This trip may be cancelled because of the damage to the island and access problems caused by the recent severe flood. Please contact Lou Beck at (609) 737-0070 to find out if the trip is on and for information about parking.There are always interesting birds, especially warblers, nesting in trees along the Delaware River and cliff swallows under the bridge. Join the club members and see what’s there this year.
   To reach the park, take Route 29 North through Stockton to the park entrance on the left, 3.5 miles north of town. There is a shaded picnic grove here, so bring lunch for after the walk.

   Baldpate Mountain field trip: The Washington Crossing Audubon Society will offer a field trip to Baldpate Mountain, also known as Kuser Mountain at 9 a.m. This trip will be led by Pat Sziber and Lou Beck.
   Meet at the Mercer County Park’s gate, located north of New Jersey Washington Crossing State Park. Participants may drive to the top of the mountain and have time to explore this interesting area.
   To get to the park, from Pennington – Washington Crossing Road (Route 546) go past Washington Crossing State Park to the intersection with Route 29. Turn right and go two miles to Fiddler’s Creek Road. Turn right and go 0.2 miles to a black gate on the left. Take the road through the gate to the top of the mountain.
