HILLSBOROUGH William C. Bowblis Jr. died May 17 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. He was 82.
Born in Newark, he had lived in Elizabeth before moving to Hillsborough 30 years ago.
Mr. Bowblis worked for Amerace ESNA Corp. as a tool and die designer for 20 years, retiring in 1985.
He was a communicant of Mary Mother of God Church in Hillsborough.
Survivors include his wife, Florence (Higgins) Bowblis; two sons, William C. III of Kennelon and Robert of Keene, N.H.; one daughter, Barbara Sixt of Cranford; two brothers, Vincent of Germany and Constantine of Florida; and one grandchild.
A funeral service was held May 21 from Countryside Funeral Home in Three Bridges. Burial was in Neshanic Cemetery in Hillsborough.
