Princeton University sophomore named Goldman Sachs Global Leader

Princeton University sophomore Raj Hathiramani has been named a Goldman Sachs Global Leader, which honors the academic and leadership achievement of 100 second-year students around the world. Each winner receives $3,000, Princeton said.
Mr. Hathiramani plans to pursue a degree in operations research and financial engineering, while obtaining certificates in Japanese language and culture and applied and computational mathematics.
He has held leadership positions in several student organizations on the Princeton campus, including senior writer for The Daily Princetonian; publicity co-chair for Naacho, the university’s first Indian dance troupe; and undersecretary for the Princeton Operations Research Society.
He also is active in Orange Key, Princeton’s volunteer tour guide service, and next year will serve as a residential college adviser, the university said.
