The Greater Murray Place-Aiken Avenue Neighborhood in Princeton Borough celebrated its street reopening Sunday with a special "thank you" to the Green Construction Co., following the successful completion of a nine-month street reconstruction project that included the installation of two speed bumps.
At the block party, more than three dozen neighbors expressed a special chalk writing "Thank You, Green Construction" to the crew for its fine planning, quality work and thoughtful consideration of the residents throughout the construction period. As most of the crew are originally from Portugal, the neighbors expressed a heartfelt "obrigado!" ("thank you") for a job well done.
The neighborhood street chalk artists were Brent Page, James Page and Hartman Byers.
Also receiving thanks for their responsiveness to the neighborhood’s concern to slow down traffic so as to protect the neighborhood’s many young residents were Princeton Borough Mayor Joseph O’Neill, representing the Borough Council, and the Princeton Borough Police Department.
