Students at Crossroads South will hold a car wash to raise money to make student’s home wheelchair-accessible.

The water will be flowing and the soapsuds will be flying this weekend when students in the Chi unit at Crossroads South Middle School take to the parking lot to help raise money for a classmate.
The students are holding a car wash fundraiser Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the school to raise money for 13-year-old Amanda Callagy.
Amanda, a Kendall Park resident, suffers from Sandhoff disease, a rare progressive neurological disorder that recently restricted her to a wheelchair.
The money raised will help Amanda’s family pay for modifications to their home so it is more wheelchair-accessible.
Any additional money raised will go toward medical equipment and future medical costs.
For more information, contact the Chi unit coordinator at the school at (732) 329-4633. The school is located on Major Road in Monmouth Junction.
