George E. Creevy
Mr. Creevy, 83, of the Wickatunk section of Marlboro, died May 19 at Manor by the Sea, Ocean Grove. Born in Marlboro, he was a lifelong resident of Wickatunk, where he was employed for 47 years as a plant engineer for Collier Services prior to retiring two years ago. Mr. Creevy served in the U.S. Merchant Marine for nine years, part of which was during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro, and also served Marlboro Township for several years in public service. Surviving are his former wife of 35 years, Colleen Creevy; a son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Barbara Creevy of Howell; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane Karlowski of Wall Township, Violet and Daniel Squillante of Jackson, and Sally and Bart Schanck of Colts Neck; a brother, Donald Creevy of Klamath Falls, Ore.; two sisters, Alma Sessler of Luray, Va., and Joyce Bud of Upland, Calif.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. on May 26 at Collier Services Chapel, Conover Road, Wickatunk. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements. Anna Billand Addeo
Mrs. Addeo, 80, of the Parlin section of Old Bridge, died June 1 at home. Her husband, John, died in 1996. Surviving are two daughters, Carol Ann Deptula of Frontroyal, Va., and Jennifer Walsh of Sharpsburg, Md.; a son, John of Howell; a brother, William Billand; a sister, Josephine Nowell; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Alex “Sonny” Williams
Mr. Williams, 63, of Howell, died May 26 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Pahokee, Fla., he had lived in Freehold before moving to Howell 24 years ago. Mr. Williams was a supervisor for Kaiser Aluminum, Edison, and was later employed by C&L Sweepers, Jackson. He was a member of the Mason Lodge of Lakewood. Surviving are his wife, Claudette Williams; a son, Fred White of Freehold; three daughters, Benita Watson of Lakewood, Jacquelyn Darby of Union and Michelle Watson of Howell; his mother, Ethel Lou Williams of Indiantown, Fla.; six brothers, Frank Williams of Jacksonville, Fla., Wilburn Williams of Daytona, Fla., and Donald, Milton Cedric and Marvin Williams, all of Indiantown; three sisters, Jeanette Hemphill and Gwen Williams, both of Indiantown, and Jessie Smith of Palm Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Funeral services were held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, both Freehold Township. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
Audrey Dill Noble
Mrs. Noble, 80, of South Amboy, died June 2 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. She was born in South Amboy and had been a lifelong resident. Mrs. Noble was employed at E.I. DuPont & Co., Parlin, during World War II. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, South Amboy, where she was a former member of the Altar Rosary Society. She also was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court Sancta Maria No. 382 and the Irish American Association, both in South Amboy. Mrs. Noble was predeceased by her husband, Joseph T. Noble, in March; and by two sisters, Marie Poffenberger and Gertrude Dohaney. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph P. Sr. and Mary Kay Noble of Howell, Michael E. and Lisa Noble, and Mark Noble, all of South Amboy; a daughter, Noreen Besner of South Amboy; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Amboy. The Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy, was in charge of arrangements.
