JAMESBURG If you’ve ever wanted to run away to the circus, June 30 could just be your chance and you could help out the Jamesburg Civic Association in the process.
The civic association is sponsoring a visit by the Alain Zerbani Great American Olde Tyme Circus, which will pitch its tents at John F. Kennedy Elementary School for a pair of performances, at 5:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will go toward scholarships for two Monroe High School students, good citizenship awards for two Grace M. Breckwedel Middle School students and toward the Jamesburg Historical Association, the Jamesburg PTA, the Jamesburg Public Library and the Helmetta Recreation Committee.
This year marks the seventh year the civic association has brought the circus to the borough and the third year for the Alain Zerbani Great American Olde Tyme Circus, which features clowns, a trapeze act, camels and reptiles, including a boa constrictor and an alligator, said Ron Becker, president of the Jamesburg Civic Association.
Advance tickets, which can be purchased through June 29, cost $9 while tickets the day of the circus cost $11.
