LONG BRANCH — A Tinton Falls woman is being charged with deliberately trying to run over her girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend in Long Branch last week.
On June 12 at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Long Branch Police Department received a report from a subject who said someone tried to run him over with a Jeep Grand Cherokee at the corner of Broadway and Norwood Avenue.
The victim told police the driver of the car was his former girlfriend’s current girlfriend, and that his ex-girlfriend was in the car at the time of the incident, according to reports.
The victim also stated that the accused made three attempts to strike him with her vehicle, according to police.
Jaime Healy, 26, was arrested one hour after the investigation began and was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Bail was set at $60,000 with no 10 percent option, and the officer impounded her car as evidence, according to reports.
