MANVILLE Lottie Mamola died June 14 at her son’s home in Manville. She was 92.
She was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., prior to relocating to Manville a short time ago.
Mrs. Mamola was a member of Christ the King Church, Manville, and was an active member of Saints Peter and Paul Church of Plains, Pa., for over 90 years.
Her husband, Peter Mamola, died in 1976; a son, Francis Mamola, died in 1997; five sisters, Stella Baluta, Anastasia Zawaski, Regina Koshelski, Florence Scotillo and Catherine Blisick; and two brothers, Edward and Joseph Baluta are deceased.
Surviving are a son, Jerome J. Mamola of Manville; a brother, Leonard Baluta of Greentown, Pa.; two sisters, Lillian Gullick of South Bound Brook and Sally Leichte of Greentown, Pa.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held June 18 from Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a Mass at Christ the King Church. Burial took place June 20 in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Plains, Pa.
