John Biscardi, an automotive technology instructor at the Jackson Center of the Ocean County Vocational Technical School (OCVTS), received the Successful Graduate Recognition Award by the New Jersey Council of County Vocational Schools.
Biscardi was nominated for the award by Jackson Center Principal Karen Homiek, who credited Biscardi with enhancing the program.
Biscardi, of Little Egg Harbor Township, graduated from the OCVTS Waretown Center in 1986. After service in the Navy Reserve, Biscardi worked with Pine Belt Nissan-Cadillac Automotive, Toms River, for 14 years. At the same time, he earned an associate’s degree at Ocean County College. He later completed requirements for a bachelor of arts degree in social studies and certification in elementary education from Thomas Edison College.
In 2001, Biscardi joined OCVTS as an instructor after his initial teaching experience at Perth Amboy High School.
