On Campus

Michael John Twardos, son of Judy and Walter Twardos of the Parlin section of Sayreville, recently earned a doctor of philosophy degree in physics from the University of California at Irvine. A 1996 graduate of Sayreville War Memorial High School and a 2000 graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, he is currently doing research as a postdoctoral candidate at the National Laboratory at Los Alamos, N.M.

Corinna Lai, daughter of Tzi-Yin Lai of Old Bridge, has been awarded a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, East Lansing, Mich. She is a 1997 graduate of Old Bridge High School.

Sarah J. Roberti of Old Bridge has been awarded a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Scranton (Pa.).

Joy Godowski, daughter of Christine and Jack Godowski of Sayreville, was named to the dean’s list for the winter term at Drexel University, College of Media Arts and Design, Philadelphia, where she is a freshman majoring in digital media. She is a 2004 graduate of Bishop George Ahr High School, Edison.

Kyle Deutsch of Sayreville, a senior majoring in computer engineering in the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Sciences at Syracuse (N.Y.) University, recently was inducted into the university’s chapter of Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society.

Allison Comerford, daughter of MaryBeth and Mike Comerford of the Parlin section of Sayreville, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, where she recently completed her sophomore year.

Kaitlyn Farley, daughter of Donna and Jim Farley of the Parlin section of Sayreville, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, where she is a junior majoring in English literature in the Quest Teaching program.

Angela Ricciardi of Old Bridge recently earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, and completed a postbaccalaureate teacher certification program at Georgian Court University School of Education, Lakewood. She is a graduate of St. John Vianney Regional High School, Holmdel.

James Ricciardi of Old Bridge recently graduated from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, and was initiated into the National Athletic Honor Society for his accomplishments on the football field and in the classroom. A graduate of St. John Vianney (SJV) Regional High School, Holmdel, he volunteers as a coach with SJV junior varsity baseball and the American Legion Baseball Junior Varsity Summer League. He will attend Widener University Law School, Wilmington, Del., in the fall.

Lauren Michele Capuano, daughter of Frieda and Frederick Capuano of Old Bridge, recently graduated from Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, Pa., where she majored in government and French. A dean’s list student, she participated in club cheerleading, the College Senate and off-campus study. She is a 2001 graduate of Old Bridge High School.
