Courtney J. Nagel, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Marty Nagel of Manalapan, was named to the dean’s list for the 2004-05 academic year at the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Pennsyl-vania, Philadelphia. She also was granted a Thune Summer Travel Fellowship from the university’s Department of the History of Art, and will travel to Barcelona, Spain, to conduct an independent research project.

Jenna Solomon of Manalapan, a student at Ramapo College, Mahwah, was recently awarded a $3,000 accounting scholarship from the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Lauren D. She is a 1997 graduate of Manalapan High School and received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida in 2001. She has been elected to Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and received the Gold Humanism Honor Society Award. Dr. Stern was presented with the Glasgow-Rubin Certificate for Academic Achievement and the Academic Excellence Award in Internal Medicine. She has begun a residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York City.
