Stephen C. Schneider

Mr. Schneider, 50, of Farmingdale, died June 22 at Green Valley Pavilion Nursing Home, Smyrna, Del. Born in Newark, he has resided in Farmingdale, Howell and Millstone before returning to Farmingdale in 1995. Mr. Schneider was an architect and licensed plumber in the family business of Schneider & Son Plumbing, Farmingdale, for more than 25 years. He also freelanced, designing buildings as well as general contracting. He was a graduate of Howell High School and earned a degree in architecture from Brookdale Community College Lincroft. Mr. Schneider was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Farmingdale. He was predeceased by his father, Charles Schneider, in 1999. Surviving are his former wife, Carol Mancini of Jackson; a son, Dustin Schneider of Jackson; two daughters and a son-in-law, Melissa and Mark Haney of Sayreville, and Christine Schneider of Bradley Beach, and her fiancé, Eric Eastburn; his mother, Eileen Schneider of Manchester; an aunt, Patricia Maskiel of Manchester; and one grandson. Private cremation was held under the direction of the Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville, with interment to take place at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township, at a later date.

John N. Ferraro

Mr. Ferraro, 86, of the Clarksburg section of Millstone, died June 21 at Jackson Health Care Center, Jackson. Born in New York City, he had lived in Jackson before moving to Clarksburg. Mr. Ferraro was a custodian for the Howell Township Board of Education before his retirement. Prior to that, he was employed at Consolidated Millinery, New York City. Mr. Ferraro was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Millstone. He was a former treasurer of the Millstone Township Senior Citizen Club and a member of the Iona Ballplayers. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Florence Lamb Ferraro; four sons, Robert Ferraro of Teaneck, James Ferraro of Long Branch, John Ferraro of Burlington, Ky., and Thomas Ferraro of Toms River; three daughters, Pat Toporek of Millstone, and Cecilia Van Pelt and Florence Lovuolo, both of New Egypt; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, followed by interment at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting. Memorial donations may be made to Caring Hospice, 525 Route 70 West, Suite B15, Lakewood 08701. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Patricia Ann Zambello

Mrs. Zambello, 61, of Millstone, died June 21. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Ridgefield Park for 11 years before moving to Millstone three years ago. Mrs. Zambello was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Millstone. Mrs. Zambello was predeceased by her husband, Frank, and two brothers, Jerry and Stevie Price. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Jay Sikora of Millstone, Patricia and Alex Roiz of West Milford, and Maria and Diego Vera of Jackson; three brothers, Mickey Price of Ridgefield Park, Dennis Price of Seaford N.Y., and Vinny Price of Staten Island, N.Y.; a sister, Laura McGrane of Hackensack; and eight grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
